The Desert bar was ok.. The Ice Cream was runny, the mystery goo with white stuff on top was generic, the cookies were definitely frozen. Its not hard to make fresh cookies when you're charging $15 for a meal!
Only giving it 2 stars because the Salad bar was fresh!
Now granted the mistake was not to eat Steak at a Steakhouse but if they can't cook chicken how they gonna cook up a steak?
We stopped by after a long day hoping to eat some good southern food.
A co-worker and I visited this establishment for lunch today, and I was not impressed. I order a rare sirloin steak; it came out within a minute of us sitting down because apparently it was already cooked and they had left it sitting, so it came out half-warm/half-cold (probably room temperature). I ate so as to not cause a scene with my co-worker, but it was cold and did not taste great. My impression of the steak is that it was a cheap cut from a grocery store because it was fatty and did not taste like it was high-quality at all.. It came with nothing except for a cheap dinner roll. The sirloin was $10, and I added a salad from the buffet for $1, which isn't a bad price. I like that this restaurant is locally-owned and that it supports many establishments and events within the community, but I was not at all impressed with the quality of food at this place. I would not return to this restaurant.
Worse than eating road side hotdogs!

Stopped there after a long day at Gainesville, VA hospital. The greeting from customer service was great. All of the workers were very friendly. Great atmosphere and the food bar is very clean, organized and oh so delicious.
The ham was leather tough, mystery country fried steak/pork chop(we sent it in for DNA test to see what kinda meat it was) was horrible, the chicken was dry, the potatoes tasted box + add Water.. Totally makes Cracker Barrel look like a 5 star restaurant!
Thursday is brisket day on the buffet and if yer looking for tender juicy beef brisket then yer in the right place. I live far away in Jacksonville but make the trip to Starke on special Thursdays
Great salad bar, hot food bar. Terrific service. They bring a pitcher and a bowl of ice if you order iced tea.
