The breakfast was delicious! Homemade sausage patties and jams were a delightful surprise. Our waitress, Moriah, is top notch! 5 stars
We were there on a Sunday during the morning, so I understand it will be busy, but the service and quality of food we received was just really poor. Too bad, because it sounded like a nice place. The atmosphere is good and the people are friendly, but we still left feeling like we paid $30 for nothing since we couldn't eat the food.
As you all know I very rarely give any establishment a five star rating. However I was very hard-pressed to find anything wrong with this great little Hometown Cafe in the Sleepy town of Starke Florida. The atmosphere was incredibly comfortable and the service staff professional and more than friendly, they treated us like family. The food was of the freshest quality supplied by local farmer markets and prepared by creative minds and careful hands served directly from the heart to our table. We can't wait for our next visit and look forward to another friendly hour or two with our new friends and extended family. ~V.
What a great find while traveling through Florida! Great food, great service, great music and atmosphere, and great prices. My over medium eggs were perfect and multiple waitresses assisted me even down to asking if i wanted a water to go. Thanks girls for a great breakfast!!
Friendly staff, cute decor-even had a play section for kids! It was hard to choose a meal because the whole menu looked so good. We were served quickly and was delicious! Smoothie was a tasty combination I would have not tried at home. Salad was great with homemade croutons and excellent Caesar dressing. All meals were huge portions. Breakfast and eggs cooked just right. All really fresh food. Look forward to going back and supporting local!
We really wanted to like this place, but sadly our experience was awful. We waited over an hour to get our appetizer, and an hour and a half for our breakfast/lunch orders. The food was cold when it arrived. My husband ordered a sandwich and the bread was soggy from sitting so long, the toppings were not what he ordered, and the side was cold as well (these were all supposed to be hot items)! My grits were cold and molded to the cup, and the "maple syrup" I was served was water mixed with what was left in a bottle (?!). I asked the server if they had anything else and she just never came back.
